EFMD Awards CLIP Accreditation to Mazars University

The Corporate Learning Improvement Process (CLIP) is a unique accreditation run by EFMD that focuses on identifying the key factors that determine quality in the design and functioning of corporate universities and learning organisations.

Since the beginning of our profession, Education has been at the heart of audit and advisory services. Indeed, our industry most probably invented the first corporate university, when (Mr.) Arthur Andersen came up with the prototype in 1928 in Chicago. At Mazars, we have put Education at the heart of our global HR strategy. It is therefore with pride and delight that we announce that Mazars University has received the prestigious CLIP Accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), an honor that so far has only been conferred to Fortune 1000 companies with significant internal educational infrastructure.  The EFMD commended Mazars University for its innovative model – one that is founded on lean management, innovative programmes, shared resources and an engaged ecosystem, much in the image and style of Mazars itself.

The EFMD is responsible for the renowned EQUIS Accreditation, awarded to top business schools around the world, including the likes of London Business School (UK), HEC (France), Stellenbosch (South Africa), Bocconi (Italy), and CEIBS (China). The sister accreditation, Corporate Learning Improvement Process (CLIP), is the equivalent for Corporate Universities, and is awarded after an intense 3-day review by a prestigious team of peers.

Mazars’ Chief People & Communications Officer, Laurent Choain, praised the process, stating that “the CLIP Accreditation process has been an incredibly insightful consulting experience, yet at a very ethical price.  It marks a unique occasion to visibly position global learning at the heart of Mazars’ strategy, as well as a powerful internal team-building experience, for all of our stakeholders.  We are thrilled to be a pioneer of a different type of corporate university, as a small but highly-internationalized organization. We are happy to know that CLIP is not only for large corporates”.

“The CLIP adventure has been demanding, but extremely valuable right from the start,” adds Tyra Malzy, Chief Learning Officer. “The self-assessment is at once a thorough process of introspection and analysis as well as a lightning rod for internal visibility and recognition. As for the peer review, it is a rare occasion to have four seasoned professionals steeped in your reality for three full days. Once again, though a challenging experience, their incisive insights and advice have been greatly helpful in establishing our priorities and roadmap forward.”

In the spirit of the accreditation itself, the Mazars University team looks to move from strength to strength by continuing to improve the learning experience for our partners and staff worldwide.
